Simply by informing us of your intention to leave a legacy gift, you will become a member of 1909 Society. And, if you prefer, we will keep your bequest intention confidential. We also understand fully if you prefer not to share specific amounts, or if you have no way of knowing what might be left over for your charitable gifts. The fact you’ve chosen the SPJ Foundation among your legacy priorities warrants our most sincere gratitude.

Georgiana Vines, a member since 1971, responded with this answer when asked she included the foundation in her planned giving:

"The Society of Professional Journalists and Sigma Delta Chi Foundation have helped me expand my interests and skills in journalism in ways I never would have thought imaginable. I am honored to have been SPJ national president in 1992-93, privileged to have been a director and secretary of the SDX Foundation, and feel lucky to be a Wells Key winner. Journalists across the U.S., who also share SPJ’s core missions of ethics, FOI, professional development and diversity, have become life-long friends."

If you choose to remember us in your plans, we welcome your letting us know so we may thank you appropriately by completing this form.
