Volunteer opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering at convention, you may do so in a variety of ways.

— You can offer your expertise at critique booths by reviewing resumes and clips. If you have at least three years of professional experience and can volunteer at least two hours, e-mail Heather Porter if you can help with broadcast critiques and Holly Fisher for print critiques.

— If you are an experienced freelancer and can offer advice and consultation to fellow freelancers, volunteer at least two hours at the Freelance Fare. Contact Stephenie Overman.

— Is working the registration desk or serving as a room coordinator (meet and greet the speakers at their room) more your style? Shoot an e-mail to Heather Porter for available time slots.

— How about helping to jail convention-goers at the LDF Jail-n-Bail? Support raising money for SPJ’s Legal Defense Fund and have fun doing it. Contact Holly Fisher to sign up for a two-hour time slot.
