Mark of Excellence Awards Luncheon
Friday, Aug. 28, Noon-2 p.m., $45 per ticket | Register
Top student journalists will receive Mark of Excellence Awards for their work. Outstanding faculty and advisers also will be honored.

Sigma Delta Chi Awards Reception
Friday, Aug. 28, 6:30-8 p.m., $40 per ticket | Register
The recipients of the 2008 Sigma Delta Chi Awards for excellence in journalism will be recognized.

President’s Installation Banquet
Saturday, Aug. 29, 7:30-10 p.m., $65 per ticket | Register
National leaders for the Society take office and the Society's highest awards are presented. The most outstanding chapters are honored for their accomplishments.



Half-Day Training Workshops

In addition to regular convention programming, four half-day programs are available:

— Homesteading in Cyberspace: Staking a Claim and Moving In
— Search Engine Optimization and Web Analytics: How to Connect Great Journalism with the Greatest Possible Audience
— Beyond the Spreadsheet: How to Look for Trends and Patterns in your Database
— Basic Web Video
