The Society of Professional Journalists, one of the nations oldest and largest journalism-advocacy organizations, invites you to our 2010 National Convention & Journalism Conference!
Join us, October 3-5, in Las Vegas as an exhibitor, recruiter or vendor. The annual conference is one of the journalism industrys largest networking events, bringing together journalists from the print, broadcast and online media communities for three days of specialized workshops, advanced journalism training and camaraderie. Conference attendees range from professional journalists to freelance writers, college journalism students and journalism faculty members.
The conferences trade show, Journalism Expo, provides exhibitors, recruiters and vendors numerous opportunities to talk directly with conference participants. The Journalism Expo kicks off Sunday, October 3 at 10 a.m. and continues through Monday and Tuesday. The exhibit space is located in the same ballroom as registration, Internet Café and the Legal Defense Fund Silent Auction. Meal events and keynote addresses are a mere step ahead. The centralized location provides numerous opportunities to build contacts with participants and effectively promote your organization, sell your product or screen candidates for jobs.
The Society of Professional Journalists works to improve and protect journalism. The organization is the nations most broad-based journalism organization, dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and stimulating high standards of ethical behavior. Founded in 1909 as Sigma Delta Chi, SPJ promotes the free flow of information vital to a well-informed citizenry; works to inspire and educate the next generation of journalists; and protects First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and press.
