Candidates for Office
Chapter delegates have the opportunity to shape the future of SPJ through the election process. Delegates will select board of directors candidates for any and all open seats. These elected board members will help lead SPJ by guiding national policy and setting priorities for the coming years.
Interested people may declare their candidacy by contacting the Nominations Committee Chair Dave Aeikens or by running from the floor during the Opening Business Session Oct 2. For any questions, contact Dave Aeikens.

Delegate Verification Process
A chapter is eligible to have voting delegates at the convention if the chapter's annual report was submitted by the posted deadline.
Headquarters will contact the chapter president to inform the chapter as to the number of delegates the chapter is eligible for (one vote for each 50 members based on the number of members on the chapter's roster at headquarters).
The chapter selects its delegate(s) to the convention.
Each chapter should notify headquarters as to the name(s) of its delegates. Please contact Linda Hall by phone at 317-927-8000 x 203 or via e-mail.
