Presidential Picks

USATODAY.com has developed a fun way to help readers learn about the presidential candidates as Super Tuesday draws near. Its "Candidate Match Game" lets you answer eleven questions about your opinions on the Iraq war, immigration, health care, gay marriage, taxes and other issues. When you're done, it tells you which candidates best match your views and gives you details on their positions. Two of the three candidates it recommended for me have already dropped out, so I guess I'll vote for the third.  That's what happens when you play games with politics. www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/candidate-match-game.htm

For a great overall look at the presidential campaign, visit Politico, which is put together by some of the top political reporters in the country. www.politico.com/

And for information on how money influences politics, check out the Center for Public Integrity's "The Buying of the President 2008." Of particular interest is the section on the candidates that shows all of the presidential contenders' openness to disclosing where their money is coming from. My thanks go to the Poynter Institute's Al Tompkins for suggesting this site. www.buyingofthepresident.org/

Are there any political Web sites that you suggest?
