Last August, News Gems featured a photo essay Brenda Ann Kenneally created for the New York Times Magazine showing how families have fared after Hurricane Katrina's devastation. Kenneally continues her fantastic work focusing on Katrina's aftermath with "Finding the Way Home," which was just released on one of my favorite Web sites, MediaStorm. Kenneally expertly weaves together videos, photos and audio of families still displaced by the hurricane. Her images and sounds convey to us the longing of the children for a normal life and the desperation of their parents.
