"A Surgeon's Legacy" shares a day in the life of Dr. John Cameron, the chief of surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital who is known for perfecting a risky operation to cure pancreatic cancer called the Whipple. Through Cameron, Bell shows us how medicine is changing and how the era of the superstar surgeon may be waning.
Jed Kirschbaum's photos follow Cameron through his work day, which starts at 5:30 a.m. and can last until 9 p.m. His schedule makes me want to take a nap.
