When Janey Comes Marching Home

Raquel Rutledge of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel had an interesting trend story Sunday about the growing number of female veterans and the struggles they face. "A Woman's Fight" details the special difficulties women veterans face such as the increased chances that they have been victims of sexual assault, the expectations that they will take care of their families as soon as they return, and the greater likelihood that they have mental health concerns or musculoskeletal problems. Rutledge does a nice job balancing national statistics with a strong local angle on the fastest growing population of veterans.
