State to pay more than $500,000 for withholding public records

We need more decisions like this. The state of Washington is paying a huge penalty for not coughing up records to a prison watchdog newsletter. Washington appears to have some pretty good teeth to its open records laws. More states need laws like

Courier-Journal Reporter Kicked Out by NCAA for Blogging
