Raising money in Miami
The South Florida SPJ Chapter is having a benefit May 12 for the Legal Defense Fund and for Carlos Miller's legal defense. If you live in that area, please try to attend.
The vent is from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Grace Galleries and Cafe, a historic two-story buidling at 49. N Federal Highway in downtown Dania Beach's arts and antique district.
A silent auction will include works donated by Carlos Miller. Miller was the Miami freelance photographer who was arrested in march after taking pictures on a street.
There will also be raffles and a string quarter. Food will be available for purchase.
Admission is free and open to the entire community.
