My terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

OK - it wasn't all that bad. But, it was pretty embarrassing and still stings a little.
What's that you might ask, why it's my most embarrassing day on the j-o-b yet!
The day was Thursday, my mood - burnt out from churning out a massive a1-a3 for that day's paper - and I was covering a big meeting and writing another big story for the paper.
But, I was pretty happy - I even was wearing my new grey skirt.
And then the board I was covering went into closed session. I went up to the back of the city hall chambers to charge up my laptop for some more furious note-taking. Everyone (thank goodness) except for a few tech-guys left for lunch.
On my way back down to my seat, the strap on one of my high heels broke. Actually, it was more of snap that sent me into an almost head-over-heels fall down the carpeted stairs in the middle of council chambers.
I came out of it without a serious head injury (save for embarrassment), a ripped (brand new) skirt, a high heel with a broken strap, a stubbed toe and some carpet burn on my leg.
And....what a day for me to produce my first broadcast package for our media partner - KDOC!
Please, everyone, don't just take this as a moment to point and laugh (though I would). Please share your embarrassing moments, too!

Last month while chasing Mayor Bloomberg I lost a shoe. I had to walk back through the entire state Capitol barefoot, to the governor's office, and ask the state police if they found a shoe.
