Sunshine Week Webcast -- chapter program idea

From FOI Committee Member Charles Davis:

I was hoping we could make all of our chapters aware of some great
ready-made programming that OpenTheGovernment.org is puling together.

I'm on a working group of a BUNCH of organizations that are co-producing
this thing -- we did it last year and it was a huge hit, with all sorts of
groups (universities, League of Women Voters, SPJ chapters, etc) hosting
"events" around it.

This year, the program, which will include panel discussions, audience
questions, and ideas for action, will be webcast to sites around the
country.

The program will focus on access to government information, including the
impact of government suppression and manipulation of scientific information
on public health and safety - and accountability. The dialogue will start
with a lively discussion of the issues and end with ideas for action

We encourage all the sites to show the national program and plan local
programs tailored to open government issues in their communities! Audience
members at all sites will have an opportunity to call in (using any
telephone) and email questions to our live panels. We will answer as many
questions as time permits.

So I'm hoping we could find a few chapters -- MU is on board -- that will
join the Sunshine Week program and make it a national phenomenon.
