SPJ Awards System
Your contest, your way.

Introduction | Frequently asked questions | Video demos | Contact us

The SPJ Awards System is a customizable solution designed to allow journalism associations to facilitate online contest entry and judging. Unlike other solutions, the SPJ Awards System can be tailored to fit your organization’s specific awards processes and needs.

Versatile

Don't just take our word for it.

We can tell you about how flexible and intuitive the SPJ Awards System is, but seeing for yourself is believing. Get a firsthand look at how the system works with this collection of hands-on video demos.

The system has three main parts:

A front-end entry collection system
— Entrants create a user profile, which allows them to begin an entry, save it and come back to complete the entry.
— The user profile makes submitting multiple entries easy.
— A shopping cart payment system that allows entrants to pay for several entries at once.
— Entrants can upload audio and video files, online links, PDFs and Word documents.

A judging platform
— Administrators can post judging instructions and judging criteria for each category.
— Judges can make notes on each entry and submit official comments on award winners.

An administrative function
— Customize your site with your own logos, background colors and fonts.
— Add categories and update category descriptions at any time.
— Monitor entries, payments and judging.
— Export entry and contact information for all entrants into an Excel spreadsheet.
— Create your own Frequently Asked Questions page.
— Adjust dates the site is open for entry and judging.

No annual fee

One benefit to this software model, when compared to other online award programs, is that our platform has lower on-going costs. There is no annual fee. Purchasing the SPJ Awards System is a one-time investment of $4,500*. Once you purchase the platform, you own it. You can modify and customize the standard platform to conform to contest needs.

*The price noted above is a base “out-of-the-box” price. The platform can be customized by InetSolution or another web manager at an additional cost to fit the exact needs of your contest. Credit card merchant fees and hosting fees also apply.
